Gay couple sues because their wedding photo was used in hate campaign

Wow this story really pisses me off to no end. This situation started some months ago when married gay couple Tom Privitere and Brian Edwards found their wedding photo had been doctored and used in a anti-gay campaign mailer in Colorado.

The couple went through the proper channels asking the Public Advocates of the United States, an official SPLC hate group, to cease and desist with using the photo. As you can see no answer was given to the couple's demands so they have filed a lawsuit hopefully asking for as much damn money as possible.

Being the devil's advocate you have to ask yourself, is it fair game once your picture hits the net for everyone to see? Once your picture is in living color, on the internet for everyone to enjoy, is it fair game for any jackass to take your image and use for their own twisted purpose?

Look at celebrities and how their photos get used and doctored all the time for some sick reason. Famous people just take it with a grain of salt and keep it moving. They must have thick skin by nature. Should this happy couple take the same view point and just let the matter go?

Hell no!!  Here you have a loving gay couple and their picture gets used for a situation that directly conflicts with their lives, being and origins of the photograph. Someone took a gay wedding photo and turned it into a hate mailer opposing marriage equality. That is dirty on so many levels.

And, let's not say that it was just a random picture plucked off the net because even if that was true, no empathy or remorse is being shown by the offending organization in this matter. It is obvious a lack of judgement and common sense was used in the first place so why think the PAUS would show any regret for their actions now.

Hopefully the happily married couple will raise some hell and get all the money they can to make the PAUS pay the devil.
